Product design

Storemax is about taking customer ideas and turning them into real products. Within the company there is a wealth of engineering knowledge, coupled with years of pragmatic experience of installing retail systems into hostile environments around the globe. This ensures that the products designed and specified will work as intended year in, year out with minimal downtime.

The full design cycle is covered by Storemax from raw marketing requirements, through to customer deliveries and product disposal. We have established a broad network of technology companies in the Far East and the Philippines who work with us as Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs) to create products base on their core technologies. This approach allow us to apply latest generation generic PC technology into retail specific products.

Working closely with our customers throughout the design cycle, we can quickly turnaround prototype systems for evaluation and ultimate sign-off. Once a design is approved, Storemax will work closely with the ODM to deliver the product on time, to specification and within budget.

Prior to entering production, Storemax will work with local authorities in target markets to secure national type and safety approvals. Previous projects have included successful certification for product sales into the European Union, the United Stated & Canada, Russia and China.

As part of the development cycle, Storemax carries out extensive validation of equipment, and where appropriate attached peripherals, to ensure systems will function day-in, day-out. With a deep understanding of the retail environment, our test methodology reflects the realities encountered in the retail environment around temperature, static, quality of power-supply, dust, as well as electromagnetic susceptibility and emissions.
